OMNI Hypnotherapist Intensive

The OMNI hypnotherapy training gives you comprehensive knowledge and skills in hypnotherapy. You learn to use hypnosis to relieve fear and pain, reduce the need for medication, speed up recovery and support the personal development of your clients.

Hypnotherapy has a very wide range of uses, from allergies to toothache. As a hypnotherapist, you can use the OMNI methods to work at the emotional causes of a wide range of mental and physical symptoms and blocks. You can also use our techniques in coaching and self-development. Please check the laws and regulations in your country.

The training consists of the online lessons (120 hours) and eight days live. Studying the lessons beforehand is not required, but you can start right away. You can access the video lessons at any time to review.

When you pass, you receive the Certified OMNI Hypnotherapist certificate and 120 hours of continuing education credits (CEUs). You also receive the certificates of NGH (National Guild of Hypnotists) and IBHEC (International Board of Hypnosis Education & Certification), each with the first year of membership included.

The training is open to career changers. You need to be at least 18 years old and speak English well.

Regression techniques, above all the core of OMNI hypnotherapy, Regress to Cause (R2C) & Fix it®, working with the inner child, chair and deathbed therapy, the Esdaile state and advanced states such as Ultra-Height® and Ultra-Healing®. You also learn methods for pain therapy and for fears, phobias and panic attacks.

Yes. OMNI is strongly committed to research. A project carried out by OMNI together with the University of Zurich led to three scientific publications, in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience (2023), Cortex (2024) and Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio, 2024). According to the researchers, it was the first hypnosis project worldwide to study two different depths of hypnosis with such a standardized, multimodal approach of fMRI, EEG and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The studies showed measurable changes in brain networks during hypnosis, and the fMRI study also found differences between the two depths of hypnosis. Another first was the study of the neurochemical environment with magnetic resonance spectroscopy: in deep hypnosis, the ratio of myo-inositol to total creatine changed significantly in one of the brain regions studied. The studies add new insight into the neurobiological basis of hypnosis. For now, the results apply to the healthy participants with hypnosis experience who were studied.

The studies show that at least two different states of hypnosis exist: somnambulism and the Esdaile state. This is an important contribution to understanding hypnosis.

Brain patterns in somnambulism showed parallels to those under propofol anesthesia. The reasons need further research.

The results broaden our understanding of what happens in the brain during hypnosis. They are one building block. Broader statements need further research.

The study shows that hypnosis is visible and measurable in the brain. Hypnosis causes real, detectable changes in the brain.

Hypnosis was induced with the OMNI hypnosis induction, based on the methods of Dave Elman and Gerald Kein. The OMNI inductions used in the research projects are the same ones you learn in the training. They are standardized and easy to use. From the first day, you learn to hypnotize others reliably and verifiably.

In the Esdaile state, participants reported subjective changes in perception, such as body boundaries dissolving, deep mental and physical relaxation, losing their sense of space and time, or inner images. Whether this is linked to the changes measured in the brain cannot yet be said with certainty.

The study makes visible what happens in the brain during hypnosis. The question often debated in academic circles, whether hypnosis is a state of its own at all, is now settled: the research even found two different hypnotic states. That helps to discuss hypnosis in medicine on a factual basis. Recognition as a form of therapy needs further research.
